Compliance and Corporate Social Responsibility

As a key supplier to the electronics industry, we acknowledge the strict standards and dynamic regulation that we must uphold and adhere to in order to operate with integrity. It is our aim to promote positive relationships throughout our customer and supplier bases, and to strive to achieve efficient and transparent transactions at all levels. We are committed to exercising robust quality control alongside high standards in business ethics, social responsibility, workplace safety and environmental protection to maintain a stable platform for trade. We expect our suppliers to also uphold these principles throughout the course of our business relationships.

The health and safety risks arising from our work-related activities are assessed and controlled according to applicable legislation and regulations as far as is reasonably practicable, including preventing accidents and work-related ill-health, maintaining safe, healthy working conditions, and the safe handling and use of hazardous substances. We expect our suppliers to uphold the same standards and require that plans are in place for emergencies and continuity planning to reflect our own expectations and ensure the ongoing security of our supply chain.

We consider care for the environment to be important and are committed to continually improving our environmental performance and promoting sound practices. Our approach strives to prevent pollution, control waste, conserve resources and effectively monitor our products for hazardous materials for the purposes of REACH, RoHS and TSCA legislation. To achieve these aims, we endeavour to conduct business in an environmentally responsible manner and expect our suppliers to strive for the same standards to reduce the impact of their activities.

Greenhouse Gas Emissions
In line with our environmental policy, we aim to consume energy efficiently and reduce our emissions of greenhouse gases where possible. We measure and report our Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions according to the UK Government's guidance for small businesses.

In 2024, our total carbon emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) amounted to 130.77 tCO2e (tonnes of CO2 equivalent).

LEW Techniques values the guidance that the Responsible Business Alliance provides to the electronics industry and recognises the key role it plays in furthering the collective progress of CSR. The RBA Code of Conduct informs our approach to social, environmental and ethical standards, and is a key consideration of many of our key business policies and procedures governing these areas. We work hard to implement its principles as far as is reasonably possible as part of a process of continuous improvement, and encourage our suppliers to follow suit in order to promote the integrity of our supply chain. At the very minimum, we will conduct business in full compliance with the laws and regulatory standards relevant to the industries and countries in which we operate.
